LITTLETON, Maine — The Southern Aroostook Agricultural Museum on U.S. Route 1 will be the place to be for fun and games, Saturday, Aug. 7, as part of the Littleton Field Days.
Starting at 10 a.m., the family-friendly event will feature a variety of children’s games, demonstrations and activities. Numerous large vehicles will be on display as part of a “Touch-a-Truck” for children to enjoy.
All proceeds from the event benefit the Littleton Community Playground Revitalization Project. The town is looking to raise between $80,000 and $100,000 for the new playground, and has thus far collected about $9,500 through minimal fundraising efforts.
Tyler Jones of Purpose Pups will have a dog obedience demonstration and local law enforcement will also be on hand to interact with the children. Demonstrations will take place between 1 and 3 p.m.
In addition, there will be face painting, a dunk tank, corn hole and other games, as well as various food items available for purchase and music played throughout the day. The festivities wind down at 4 p.m.
