Jillian Bell, owner and baker at Bells Variety Bakery of Wade, recently surprised the Washburn Police Department with a special cake to thank them for their service.
With the cake, decorated with the words “Honor, duty, courage,” are, from left: Officer Edward Dubie, Bell, Officer Chandler Cole and Officer Kevin Jordan. Bell said she wanted to spread kindness and appreciation for the police officers who risk their lives every day in the line of duty. “The world we live in is chaotic, so why not share some love to make a change?,” she said.
