The Mapleton Daze Committee is busy preparing for their third annual Mapleton Daze Online Silent Auction. They are very grateful for the donations received so far.
The committee is especially thankful for the donated items they received from their vendors at the recent Mapleton Daze Fall Craft and Vendor Fair. Additional items continue to be accepted. The cutoff date for item donation is the end of October.
If readers wish to donate items for the auction, then feel free to message the committee on their Facebook page.
For individuals interested in bidding in the auction, there are some items already pictured on the “Mapleton Daze 3rd Annual Silent Auction” Facebook page. Bidding will not officially open until Nov. 15 at 8 a.m., and will close on Nov. 18 at 6 p.m. The highest bidders at that time will be declared the winners.
The Mapleton Daze Committee recommends bidders check the bids frequently to see the status of bids entered.
Readers can email and/or message Lynnelle Foster at lynnelle.foster@maine.edu or Laurie at laurie.boucher@maine.edu with any questions regarding the auction.
Successful dinner
The West Chapman Advent Christian Church recently held their fall harvest dinner. The dinner was held as a drive-thru dinner for the purpose of raising funds for the church’s roof repairs.
The church thanks everyone who came out to enjoy the prepared dinner and support the church financially. The diners enjoyed the homemade turkey or ham dinners with all the fixings.
Town voting hours
Just a reminder to everyone that voting will occur on Tuesday, Nov. 2, in all three towns. Mapleton residents will vote at the Mapleton Fire Station from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Polls will be open in Castle Hill at the Castle Hill Grange Hall from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and in Chapman at the Chapman Ridge Runners Snowmobile and ATV Club from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
