PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Wintergreen Arts Center recently received funding in the amount of $6,000 from the Maine Arts Commission Organization Partnership program.
The award establishes a partnering process between the Wintergreen Arts Center, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, and the Maine Arts Commission, an independent state agency supported by the National Endowment for the Arts.
“This grant is the third consecutive funding award from the Maine Arts Commission’s Partnership program” said Dottie Hutchins, Wintergreen’s executive director. “Wintergreen is a stronger organization thanks to this relationship.”
Beginning in 2016, Wintergreen received three consecutive Organizational Development grants from the Maine Arts Commission for leadership training, database management, and strategic planning.
“This year’s funding goes directly towards our efforts in promoting local artists by helping to support Wintergreen’s participation in Presque Isle’s First Friday Art Walk,” said Hutchins. “It also supports our most recent round of strategic planning to keep Wintergreen relevant and ready in our efforts to encourage creativity and the arts in Aroostook County.”
