DANFORTH, Maine – East Grand School Principal/Superintendent Margaret White has announced the honor parts for the Class of 2022.
Eve Appleby-Griffiths has been named valedictorian, and Steven Rowe was chosen as salutatorian.
Appleby-Griffiths, the daughter of Melissa Appleby of Weston, is an active member of the East Grand School National Honor Society, EGS Gifted and Talented (art) program, as well as an active member of the town of Danforth Food Pantry.
She was accepted at the University of Maine at Augusta, University of Maine at Farmington, University of Maine at Presque Isle and Lesley University. She plans to attend UMPI and major in secondary education with concentrations in science and art.
Rowe, the son of Bev Rowe and Glenn Rowe, of Danforth, was president of the Class of 2022 for four years. He is a NHS member and participated in varsity soccer, esports, baseball and cross-country.
Rowe was also a member of the following clubs: drama, outdoor education, and gaming. He plans to pursue acting in the New England region.
