HOULTON, Maine — A Hodgdon woman was the lucky winner of a pair of tickets to an Aug. 11 New England Patriots preseason game.
Lynn Oliver’s name was randomly chosen from raffle tickets sold by Living Innovations, a New England-based organization that supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to lead good lives at home and in their communities with innovative programming and services.
Angelina Jackman, coordinator of the Houlton branch, said a pair of tickets to see the New England Patriots host the New York Giants in an exhibition game, were generously donated to Living Innovation by Dominick Efter.
In addition, TD Bank agreed to include hotel accommodations for the winner and their guest.
About 300 tickets were sold in the raffle, with the funds used to buy equipment and cover expenses for Living Innovations clients to participate in the state Special Olympics, held in June.
“We had a number of athletes do really well at the state games and this raffle certainly helped with that effort,” Jackman said.
