An Assumption of Leadership ceremony for the Defense Finance and Accounting Service site in Limestone took place on Aug. 3. During the ceremony, Ashley Judkins accepted responsibilities as site director from Acting Director Donna Perreault.
DFAS Limestone supports the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Transportation Command with a variety of financial and accounting functions. The site is staffed with approximately 550 Defense Department civilian employees.
Judkins , the former deputy director of DFAS Europe, has worked for DFAS for 19 years, including previous tours with DFAS sites in Rome, New York, Indianapolis, and Limestone in addition to Europe.
A native of Caribou, Judkins earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and business management from the University of Maine at Presque Isle as well as a master’s degree in business management from Husson University in Bangor.
