To the editor:
I wish I could have made the Class of 1967 Presque Isle High School reunion. Please give my best regards and wishes to all of my classmates. The year ’67 was a blast and I so enjoyed working at WEGP.
I just helped produce the 30th Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival in New York. It was a great event this year, a full-scale two-day festival roaring back in the Year of the Tiger. I programmed the stage this year and had the fun and privilege of presenting Terry King, lead of the fabulous band The Drifters, accompanied by Ben E. King’s son, Benidetto.
It was a blast “under the boardwalk. It made me think of the late great “Big Daddy,” Del Hodgkins of WEGP Radio fame, where we all had so much fun playing deejay back in the ’60s.
