CARIBOU, Maine — North Country Animal Hospital will close its doors until at least Monday, Aug. 29, due to the number of staff members testing positive for COVID-19.
Veterinarian Lori Brown, who owns North Country, said that she made the decision Wednesday to close temporarily. She and remaining staff members are reaching out to pet owners to reschedule appointments and medical procedures.
“We won’t be available for emergencies until Monday,” Brown said.
Brown did not confirm how many pets will be affected, but said that the choice to close was made to protect members of the public and hospital staff.
