PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — The Aroostook Hospice Foundation, the owner of the Aroostook House of Comfort, was invited to participate in the Northern Maine Antique Tractor Club’s Tractor Trek event in July of this year.
This fundraising event supports a variety of charitable organizations in Aroostook County. Club President, Paul Folsom, presented the Aroostook Hospice Foundation with a $500 check at their annual awards banquet Saturday, Oct. 22.
Donations like this help to ensure that the Aroostook House of Comfort can continue to serve community members with quality and compassionate hospice care, regardless of their ability to pay. Thank you to the Northern Maine Antique Tractor Club for your continued support of our mission.
The generous donors make it possible to maintain a 9,800 square foot state-of-the-art facility where individuals and families receive compassionate care, comfort, and support on their journey through hospice. The funds raised also assist with expenses associated with care received while at the Aroostook House of Comfort for those underinsured, uninsured, or without financial resources. Fundraising efforts include private donations, naming opportunities, grants, and local fundraising events such as the annual Golf Classic and the Remembrance Way Garden & Pathway. Our success is due to the support of volunteers, donors, and our local communities.
The Aroostook House of Comfort is an in-patient hospice and respite care facility owned by the Aroostook Hospice Foundation and staffed by Northern Light Home Care & Hospice, the only local Medicare-certified hospice provider in the area. Together we offer individuals and their families compassionate care, comfort, dignity, and support on their journey through hospice. For more, go to https://aroostookhouseofcomfort.org/.
