To the editor:
Two years ago, my family ran into an issue with the Maine Department of Environmental Protection at our Long Lake lot. A couple of things did not add up, so I contacted a number of elected officials, including Troy Jackson, hoping someone could help sort this out.
Even though I live in Presque Isle, which is just outside of his district, Troy didn’t hesitate to help. He worked with my family and the department to quickly resolve the whole situation, and I’ll never forget that.
Troy has proven to me that he is someone who truly cares about the people who call Aroostook County home, not just the ones who live in his district. That means something to me and it’s why he has earned my support this November. If I lived in his district, he’d have my vote for sure.
So if you are on the fence about who to vote for this November, and you live in Senate District 1, take it from this diehard Republican — vote for Troy Jackson. He’s honest, hardworking and will be there when we need him.
