The Mapleton Daze Committee will hold a drive-thru chicken stew night as a fundraiser for 2023 Mapleton Daze Events.
The meal will be this Saturday, Nov. 12, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Mapleton Lions Hall on Main Street, across from the Mapleton Diner. There is a suggested donation of $10 for the meal, which will consist of a bowl of stew (beef or chicken), a roll, dessert and drink.
The committee asks everyone coming to the stew night drive-thru to invite friends and family to have a great meal while helping raise funds for Mapleton Daze 2023.
Bingo fundraiser was excellent fun
On Saturday, Oct. 29, the Haystack Historical Museum held their second Crazy Bingo fundraiser. The Mapleton Daze Committee ran the games on behalf of the historical society.
With nearly a full house, everyone had a terrifically fun time playing multiple games and winning several prizes furnished by the Mapleton Daze Committee.
In addition to Bingo, an American chop suey was sold as the fundraiser for the historical society. The society thanked the Mapleton Daze Committee for their support of the Haystack Historical Museum through this fundraiser.
The evening was the society’s last event of the Haystack Historical Society for 2022. The society had its closing meeting on Nov. 1 and at that meeting, members decided, based on the success of the Bingo fundraisers this year, that Bingo will resume next spring.
