FORT KENT, Maine — Police have recovered stolen property related to an ongoing string of crimes in the St. John Valley.
Anyone who has experienced a burglary or theft in the last year is asked to come to the Fort Kent Police Department from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 20, to identify their property.
Since last spring, police have received numerous theft and burglary reports, Cpl. Nicholas Casavant of the Maine State Police said in a statement Thursday.
A joint investigation involving state police, Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office, Maine Warden Service, Maine Forest Service and Fort Kent police resulted in the recovery of stolen items, Casavant said.
No other details were available on the investigation or the items recovered.
Representatives of each agency will be present to help and speak with property owners.
