PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Presque Isle police arrested two people on Feb. 22 after discovering multiple dangerous weapons and around $11,000 worth of methamphetamine.
Officers stopped a vehicle on Main Street in Presque Isle at around 3 a.m. on Feb. 22. After talking to the occupants they obtained a search warrant for the vehicle, police said in a social media statement.
During the search police discovered a knife and two utility cutters, along with approximately 54 grams of methamphetamine with an estimated street value of $11,000.
Officers arrested the driver and the passenger and charges are pending, police said.
No further information is immediately available since the investigation is ongoing, Presque Isle Police Chief Laurie Kelly said Friday.
