PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — The Central Aroostook Probus meeting was held on Feb. 16 at Reed Hall, NMCC.
Sonja Eyler, Presque Isle librarian of the Mark and Emily Turner Memorial Library, spoke of the many opportunities available at the library.
Eyler mentioned that in addition to 25,000 adults and children walking in to use the library, the library offers many services to the public. These include having 1,423 fingerprint appointments, 94 passports facilitated, and 5,505 reference questions answered.
Eyler also mentioned that the first, or an early, stop of visitors and new residents is the library. A friendly welcome and willingness to help is a library policy. A question and answer period followed the talk.
The next Probus meeting will be held on March 16. Visitors are welcome.
