Pageant crowns new PI queens

The Miss Presque Isle pageants had 22 contestants grace the stage at Presque Isle High School on Saturday evening, April 1.

Six young ladies received crowns during the pageants, under the direction of Heidi Estabrook and her pageant committee made up of Casey Estabrook, Betsy Fitzherbert and Kathy Maynard.  The Presque Isle Elks Ladies Auxiliary sponsored this year’s pageant. 

Earning titles were Mini Miss Rosalind Supa, Little Miss Margaret Knox, Pre-Teen Miss Aliyah Saucier, Junior Miss Brooklyn Smith, Teen Miss Lita Perkins and Miss Presque Isle Danica Haskell. 

Reigning 2022 queens giving up their titles were Mini Miss Caroline Cole, Little Miss Reagan Dixon, Pre-Teen Miss Natalie Putnam, Teen Miss Bobbi Guerrette, Junior Miss Johanna Cote and Miss Presque Isle Rachel Ellis. 

Three of the new queens will prepare for the upcoming Maine Potato Blossom Pageant in July.

Contestants achieving first runner-up were, for Mini Miss, Charlotte Smith; Little Miss, Brooklyn Beaulieu; Pre-Teen Miss, Kendzie Winslow; Junior Miss, Elizabeth Corey. Also placing were, from the Little Miss contest, third runner-up Violette Nadeau and second runner-up Mattison Davis.

Several special awards were given. Bobbi Guerrette, 2022 Teen Miss, received the first annual Positive Impact Award for her involvement in the community during her reign. She logged more than 55 hours volunteering while wearing her crown. 

Other awards were: Peoples Choice Award, Ariel Dionne;  Congeniality Award, Paisley Fulton; Sponsor/High Ticket Honorable Mention, Karleigh Levesque and Brianna Dionne; Sponsor/High Ticket Award, Mattison Davis; Director’s Choice Award, Bridgette Boyden; Overall Sense of Style, Brooklyn Beaulieu; and Overall Interview and Overall Talent, Danica Haskell.
