To the editor:
There have been some previous editorials referring to pending legislation to allow late-term abortions. The bill has now been released as LD1619. This is a horrific bill that would allow the life of a baby to be taken right up to the delivery. How is that not murder of an innocent life?
I would urge everyone concerned about this dangerous bill to contact their senator and representative in Augusta and implore them to vote no on this bill. Contact information can be found at legislature.maine.gov/senate and legislature.maine.gov/house.
There will also be a public hearing on this bill, and I would implore everyone that is able to attend and testify. Now is the time to speak up for those innocent lives that cannot speak for themselves. We need to be their voice.
