FORT KENT, Maine — Join us on Friday, June 2 from 9 a.m. to noon at the University of Maine Cooperative Extension Office (34 Armory Road), rain or shine, for the following three events:
The One Tomato Project: This will be our third year distributing free cherry tomato seedlings (one seedling per person) and tips for growing them. The idea is to grow some vegetables, and maybe one tomato plant will lead to other gardening activities in the future!
Plant swap: The Aroostook County Master Gardeners will be sponsoring their annual plant swap. Simply bring healthy plants, bulbs, herbs, and vegetable seedlings from home and exchange for the same number available at the plant swap. This is an opportunity to meet other gardeners and diversify your home landscape … for free!
Plant sale: Finally, the University of Maine at Fort Kent will be having a plant sale, with proceeds to benefit the UMFK Sustainability Club.
