Two dedicated volunteers from the Emerald Service Unit, Bettina Grange of Fort Kent and Morgan Wilson of Eagle Lake, recently received the Appreciation Pin from the Girl Scouts of Maine.
The Appreciation Pin is an award bestowed upon a volunteer or staff member who provides exemplary service in support of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience that has had a measurable impact on two or more troops in one or more geographic areas.
Within her service unit Grange wears several hats such as troop leader, service unit treasurer, cookie program volunteer, and more. Known for her ability to step up to new challenges, Grange is always willing to offer help. As a fierce advocate for Girl Scouts, Grange does not hesitate to engage girls in event planning and program organization, ensuring that all troop and service unit activities are truly girl-led.
Another troop leader and service unit program coordinator, Wilson, is recognized for her exemplary service and willingness to contribute to event and program planning. Within her troop Wilson maintains active, always making sure to keep her Girl Scouts engaged in their local community. Emerald Service Unit is grateful to Wilson for her compassion, firsthand experience and knowledge, and leadership skills.
Congratulations to both volunteers on earning this highly esteemed award!
