The Aroostook Hospice Foundation, owner of the Aroostook House of Comfort, has announced that the Willey Family Foundation, in partnership with the Maine Community Foundation, has awarded a $12,500 grant for charity care patient assistance funding.

Charity Care funding is available to patients and families who are underinsured, uninsured, or without other financial means to pay for expenses associated with care received at the Aroostook House of Comfort.

The facility’s mission is to provide quality end-of-life care regardless of one’s ability to pay, officials said.

The Aroostook House of Comfort is an inpatient hospice and respite care facility owned by the Aroostook Hospice Foundation and staffed by Northern Light Home Care & Hospice, a Medicare-certified hospice provider in the area. For information, visit https://aroostookhouseofcomfort.org/.
