The Mapleton Lions Club thanks everyone who came out to have dinner with the Mapleton Lions at Mapleton Daze. Friday evening at Mapleton Daze over 300 BBQ chicken dinners were sold to club supporters. Annual Squapan Outing Club Bean Hole Bean Supper huge success
The Board of the Squapan Outing Club was very happy with the large turnout of supporters and diners. Good news – Mapleton pool is open
The Mapleton Recreation Department experienced a significant delay opening the Mapleton Public Pool at the Mapleton Recreation Complex. Due to significantly needed repair work, the Mapleton pool was not able to open on time this year. Fortunately the work was completed July 7 and the pool opened July 8. Lyndsey Himes, head lifeguard, announced that all lifeguard positions were filled with fully qualified lifeguards. Jake Graham, Mapleton recreation director, expressed appreciation to the Mapleton Lions Club for coverage of a significant portion of the costs to train and certify the lifeguards.
The pool’s general swim hours are: Monday to Friday 2-6:45 p.m. and Saturday/Sunday 1–4:45 p.m. The pool during open hours is free to all users. When kids and parents arrived, they were delighted to see the clean and well-functioning pool. Swim lessons and swim team activities have already begun as well. Should there be any questions, please contact the Mapleton town office.
