CARIBOU, Maine — Caribou High School will be hosting the Alumni/Community Cross Country Race on Friday, Aug. 25 at 7:45 p.m. on CHS trails under the lights. Registration will begin at 6:30 p.m. The race is 2.75 miles long and is for people of all ages. Categories include 50 and over, 40-50, 30-40, 20-30, eighth grade and under, high school, and elite runners.
You can race as an individual or as part of a team. Teams can have up to five members but must have at least three members to score, and teams can be men’s, women’s, or coed. There are no entry fees. Runners start in various groups according to their age category, each group starting one minute apart, so everyone has a fair chance of winning. Scoring will be by place, not time, and winning teams will receive race T-shirts.
