LITTLETON, Maine — The Southern Aroostook Agricultural Museum in Littleton will be the site of a dedication in memory of George Smith of New Limerick on Saturday, Oct. 21. Smith was an active volunteer and benefactor of the museum.

This past year an addition was constructed to the Carl & Helen Hagan Barn. The addition is being named for Smith, who was a graduate of Ricker Classical Institute. During his lifetime he was a farmer, a postmaster, owner of a business and an engineer for the Bangor & Aroostook Railroad. He passed away in 2019 at the age of 78.

The public is invited to attend the dedication, followed by a turkey and beef pie supper for the public. The dedication begins outside by the barn at 3:30 p.m. and the supper begins at 4:30 p.m. It is $10 per person.
