CARIBOU, Maine – Pines Health Services announced that Anas Al-Taee, DDS has joined the Pines Dental team.
“We are thrilled to have Dr. Al-Taee join the Pines Dental team,” said Lisa Caron, chief operating officer at Pines Health Services. “At Pines, we pride ourselves on providing quality, whole-person care, and Dr. Al-Taee is an excellent addition for our patients.”
Prior to coming to Pines Health Services, Dr. Al-Taee worked as a dentist at Fish River Health and before moving to Aroostook County, he was a resident doctor and research assistant at the University of Minnesota.
Dr. Al-Taee received his Orofacial Pain Residency Certificate and masters of science from the University of Minnesota. He graduated from the University of Jordan with his doctor of dentistry. He has published research papers on facial and oral pain, and received accolades for research on oral cancer.
October is Dental Hygiene Awareness Month, and Dr. Al-Taee and the Pines Dental team would like to highlight the importance of good oral hygiene, and what you can do to protect your oral health:
- Brush your teeth at least twice a day for two minutes each time.
- Use a soft-bristled brush and fluoride toothpaste.
- Floss daily.
- Use mouthwash to remove food particles left after brushing and flossing.
- Eat a healthy diet and limit sugary food and drinks.
- Replace your toothbrush every three to four months, or sooner if bristles are splayed or worn.
- Schedule regular dental checkups and cleanings.
- Avoid tobacco use.
