WATERVILLE, Maine — The Elks State Soccer Shoot was held Sunday, October 22 at the Waterville Elks Lodge, with a pair of local youths claiming first-place honors and two others ending up as runners-up in their divisions.

Representing Presque Isle Elks Lodge 1954 as first-place winners were Kenzie Hickey of Easton in the under 8 year-old girls’ category and Aaron Cloukey of Presque Isle in the 8-9 boys’ division.

Taking second place were Huxley Shaw of Presque Isle in the under 8-year-old boys’ classification and Ella Duval of Fort Kent in the 8-9 girls’ category.

All four had captured lodge and northern district titles at competitions held earlier in the month.

Hickey and Cloukey both advanced to the Area I Regionals to take place November 4 in Enfield, Connecticut.
