Patten Quintet Yields to Ricker – Ricker invaded Patten Friday night and clipped the Eagles’ wings, 39-29. Fighting an uphill battle during the first half, the Raiders began the second half with a point lead. During the second half, the Ricker boys fought gamely to preserve their slight lead which was stretched to a 10-point margin in the final few minutes. Only two field goals were scored by Ricker during the first half but 10 foul shots were registered by Kennedy, Lewis, Pinkham, and Richards. Lewis sank five foul shots in six attempts and Kennedy was the high scorer with nine points. The Kennedy, Botting, Lewis line functioned well. Richards played an excellent offensive- defensive game. Pinkham captained the team and held Patten’s giant right forward to eight points. Troy played a good game although bottled up by a big opponent. Madden and Ruth contributed to the win although neither entered the scoring column.
