Fire heavily damages 2-story Woodland home

WOODLAND, Maine — Firefighters from multiple towns quickly extinguished a fire that caused damage to a home on Carson Road in Woodland.

No one was home at the time of the fire, said Caribou Fire Captain John Thornton.

Crews from Caribou, Presque Isle, Washburn and Limestone were at the home from 1:24 p.m. to 4:00 that afternoon. Though the home is still standing, the building’s structure suffered extensive damage on both levels, Thornton said.

The Maine Fire Marshal’s Office is still investigating the cause of the fire.
