NEW SWEDEN, Maine – A Stockholm man died Sunday in a vehicle crash in New Sweden.
At around 8:37 p.m., Mark Carr, 53, was driving south on Route 161. Carr crossed over the centerline, traveled through a snowbank and careened into the woods, where he struck several trees, said Shannon Moss, public information officer for the Maine State Police.
When state troopers arrived at the scene, they found Carr deceased. Though the crash remains under investigation, it is suspected that Carr might have “suffered a medical event” while driving, Moss said.
