3-Day Outlook: Wednesday, Feb. 28-Friday, March 3
A warm front will lift across the region today followed by a strong cold front tonight with gusty south winds shifting to the west. Temperatures warm into the upper 40s to near 50 degrees across the Valley. Then, temperatures will plunge tonight into the teens with a couple of inches of snow possible as much colder air moves in behind the cold front. Temperatures will remain in the middle teens tomorrow with overnight low Thursday night falling into the 0-to-5-degree range.
The National Weather Service office in Caribou said a “flash freeze and light accumulating snowfall early Thursday morning could make travel hazardous for the Thursday morning commute. Strong gusty winds are possible during the day on Thursday and blowing snow is possible across open fields which may limit visibility Thursday morning.”
Partly cloudy to partly sunny skies are expected Friday with gusty west wind winds and temperatures in the middle 20s. Partly cloudy skies and dry conditions are expected Friday night.
