A few weeks ago, I let you know about a piece of legislation being considered in Maine which would force taxpayers to pay for sex changes for state residents without parents’ knowledge. It further invited all living in other states who wanted these elective surgeries to travel to Maine to have these done all on Maine taxpayers’ dime.
This legislation is so ludicrous on so many levels I looked into who sponsored such lunacy. To my surprise, the main sponsor was a Democrat, Rep. Anne Perry, D-Calais. Rep. Matt Moorer, D-Portland, Rep. Erin Sheechan, D-Biddeford), Sen. Anne Carney, D-Cumberland) and Rep. Laurie Osher, D-Orono were co-sponsors. These people aren’t representing fMaine people as a whole. They are radical left activists who care nothing for Maine taxpayers. They’re for an agenda that serves a miniscule number in our state, trying to force hard-working Mainers to pay for others’ elective wishes.
These activists have proven they can’t be trusted in positions of power. Lawsuits are already popping up against those who have pushed these surgeries and they’re being sued by the very trans patients they claimed to be helping. Does Maine want to be in the business of shelling out huge bucks to pay for sex change surgeries only to be sued by these same patients who found they were still unhappy afterwards? Pay attention to what’s going on because these radical activists do not have taxpayers’ rights or interests at heart. Oust them now!
