3-Day Outlook: Wednesday, May 8 – Friday, May 10
Partly sunny skies are expected Friday with a slight chance for showers as an upper-level trough moves over the region. Forecast models are not in agreement with how much precipitation will occur.
The National Weather Service in Caribou notes that “[t]he Canadian guidance still holds onto the chance for a cutoff low that would maintain a wetter pattern for the state, while the Euro has jumped on board with other guidance to weaken the primary upper level low as the next [disturbance] over the Great Lakes begins to pick up energy.” Currently, a slight chance for showers persists Friday night under partly cloudy skies across the Saint John Valley.

4- to 7-day Outlook: Saturday, May 11 – Tuesday, May 14
Unsettled weather is expected for the period with high pressure to the north and low pressure sliding to our south. An upper-trough, and possibly a cut-off upper low over the Maritimes, remains over the region into early next week. These features will drive a chance for showers with partly cloudy/partly sunny skies through the period. A warm front looks to lift across the region Monday night followed by a cold front later Tuesday into Wednesday, which may increase chances for precipitation.
