The Fort Kent Ladies of St. Anne held their annual Mother of the Year celebration on May 21, honoring Christy Plourde.

Plourde who has eight children, 17 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and two more on the way.

It was fitting to recognize an individual like Plourde, who embodies commitment and service, said Ladies of St. Anne members.

Plourde has not only been a devoted and dedicated mother and grandmother, but she also finds time to give of herself to various community organizations.
