FORT KENT, Maine — The Fort Kent Ladies of St. Anne are pleased to announce the successful recipients of their two $500 scholarships for the academic year 2024. These scholarships are in support of the children and grandchildren of its membership. Scholarship recipients are also selected based on their academic achievements, community service and other eligibility requirements.
Congratulations to the following scholarship awardees:
Ethan Daigle, the grandson of Arlene Daigle, is from Fort Kent and will be pursuing a degree in business administration at Southern Maine Community College. Throughout his attendance at high school, Ethan has consistently maintained honor roll status. He has earned awards and varsity letters for soccer, basketball and baseball. Ethan’s involvement in extracurricular activities, community service projects, work experience and his impactful contributions to the athletic program showcase his well-rounded character.
Mitchell Harvey, the step grandson of Joan Harvey who is also from Fort Kent, will be attending the University of Maine pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering technology. Mitchell has consistently maintained the highest academic honors designation throughout his attendance at high school. He has served as the class president and representative for the Student Council for four consecutive years. Mitchell has been a part of the Early College Program through the University of Maine at Fort Kent and has earned 15 college credits. In addition to everything mentioned, Mitchell’s capacity to coordinate and lead school events underscores his versatility and character.
The Ladies of St. Anne sends warm congratulations to Ethan, Mitchell and all high school seniors graduating in 2024. Their hard work has paid off, and we look forward to their future achievements.
