An upper-level low will slowly drift towards the Maritimes with a chance of showers this morning with showers likely this afternoon and evening along with scattered thunderstorms this afternoon. Rainfall totals between 1/4 and 1/2-inch are possible with higher totals in any storms that occur, and given weak flow aloft, showers/storms will be slow-moving producing locally heavy downpours and possibly localized flooding. Partly cloudy skies develop tonight with showers ending by midnight.
High pressure builds in Thursday as the upper low moves into the Maritimes. An approaching cold front will bring increasing chances of showers Thursday night with showers likely Friday morning. Gusty southwest winds are expected for the Saint John Valley as well. Some lingering showers are possible Friday night behind the front with partly cloudy skies developing.

High pressure near the Great Lakes builds east into the Valley on Saturday and crests over the Sunday into Monday then moves east into the Atlantic Sunday into Monday. Temperatures and humidity increase Tuesday as highs reach the 80s with dew points rising into the upper 50s/low 60s. The high looks to set up a block in the Atlantic as next week progresses, though some precipitation may be possible by midweek, depending on the Atlantic high’s strength.
