A Hodgdon man died on Thursday afternoon when the truck he was driving went off the road along Route 11, according to the Aroostook County Sheriff.
Lonnie Little, 64, was traveling south in a 2010 Freightliner in Township 8, Range 5, north of Knowles Corner on Route 11 when he crashed, police said.
Sheriff’s deputies got a report of a single vehicle crash at about 4:20 p.m. and when they arrived they discovered the vehicle Little was driving.
Little died from his injuries prior to being transported to a local hospital, police said.
The crash is under investigation.
Sheriff’s deputies were helped by Maine State Police, Maine Warden Service, Presque Isle Police, Maine Department of Transportation, the Masardis Volunteer Fire Department and Ashland Ambulance Service.
