Nomination papers for Presque Isle City Council and MSAD 1 school board seats will be available at the office of the City Clerk, Presque Isle City Hall, 12 Second Street, starting Monday, July 29.
For city council, there are three seats up for election, each with a four-year term.
There are eight three-year seats up for election on the school board: Districts 3, 7, 8, 10, 13, 14, 15 and 17. To determine the neighborhoods included in each of the districts, contact City Clerk Kim Finnemore at 207-760-2702 or stop by her office in City Hall, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The deadline to return nomination papers is 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 6. Election Day is Nov. 5. Papers require the signatures of 50 people currently registered to vote in Presque Isle.
