CARIBOU, Maine – A UTR tennis tournament was held recently on the Caribou High School courts, featuring a unique competition with no age or gender limits meaning that anyone of any age or gender can sign up.
The tourney had almost 30 entries in singles and doubles draws. In the singles competition two local players made it to the semifinals. Alice Korzekwa and Sage Dubay lost to their opponents from University of Maine at Orono in a very thrilling match.

In the singles final Josiah Bloom of Waterville took a win over Ian Doughty of Union in a two set win 6-2,6-3 .
In the doubles division Bloom and Doughty fell short to Abe Bouchard and Ben Bouchard out of Caribou in a three set thriller 10-8 in a third set tie breaker.
