Wintergreen Arts Center is hosting a summer arts showcase at 6 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 2, during Presque Isle’s First Friday Art Walk.
“In partnership with the Presque Isle Housing Authority and Presque Isle Recreation & Parks Department, we are celebrating our talented young artists and their creativity,” said Dottie Hutchins, Wintergreen’s executive director.
Campers participating in Wintergreen’s many visual and digital summer arts camps will display their projects.
Wintergreen’s 2024 Summer Arts Camps include Nature & Art Camp (at the Sargent Family Community Center), Art with HeART (a free arts program for all children held at the Presque Isle Housing Authority), Art-in-the-Park Camp and Painting-at-the-Park Camp (at Mantle Lake Park), and the following camps held at the Wintergreen Arts Center: Taylor Swift Camp, Wintergreen Kids News Network (WKNN Camp), Cowboy & Cowgirl Camp, DIY Décor Camp, Sweet Treat Camp, Mixed Media Camp and Preschool Camp.
Wintergreen’s Summer Arts teaching staff includes Shaye McHatten, Jennifer Adrian, Erin Marquis, Sophia Garcia, McKenzie Cooper, Lisa Brewer and Katie Greenlaw. WKNN is in collaboration with Dave Allen Graphics.
The summer arts student showcase is free and open to the public.
