Children’s yoga
This isn’t your traditional yoga class. Children’s yoga is a different way to learn about the body. Participants in a new class will stretch, strengthen, gain flexibility and balance through short, age-appropriate activities, and will also learn how to calm the body, breath and mind.
Classes will be held on April 4, 11 and 25 at the hall until 4:15 p.m. The cost is $11.25 for the remainder of the session.
Yoga has been shown to improve concentration, memory, attention, problem-solving and decision making — all great skills for learning. Relaxation is just as important as exercise, and students will learn these concepts and more, all while having fun.
There must be 12 children enrolled to run the class. Please be sure your child has a note to ride the bus from school. The class will be instructed by Julie French and is open to children in kindergarten and up.
Community Library
On Saturdays, the Community Library will be held at the Easton High School Library and will feature a story time from 10 to 10:30 a.m., geared for toddlers in pre-kindergarten to grade 3. Children under 5 need to be accompanied by an adult.
The library will also be open to the community for patrons to utilize library services. Patrons may bring their own devices to access the Internet and will be asked to follow existing library rules/guidelines.
This week’s dates include Wednesday, April 5, at Easton Elementary School and Saturday, April 8, at the high school.
