CARIBOU, Maine — Mary Lou Caparotta, 79, died peacefully in her home surrounded by family on March 23, 2017. She was born on September 4, 1937.
She was predeceased by her husband, Albert J. Caparotta; her daughter, Peggy Sue Caparotta; and a granddaughter, Natalie Ann-Marie Pierce. She is survived by her sister, Elizabeth Zernicke of Presque Isle; and her children, Lorraine Blaney of Connor TWP, Karen Caparotta-Lee of South Berwick, Susan Harps and her husband, Raymond, of Turner, Deborah Vicario of Connor TWP, Anthony Caparotta Sr. and his wife, Debra, of Caribou, Patrick Caparotta Sr. and his partner, Cheryl Smart, of Presque Isle and Kenneth Allen Caparotta of Caribou. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great and great-great-grandchildren.
She retired after 25 years from the Caribou Nursing Home, where she worked as a CNA. She had a love of playing bingo and was always ready for a fun night of playing cards with family and friends.
