Woodland said goodbye winter and hello spring at the end of March with their annual Winter Carnival.
Early morning on Saturday, March 18 students, teachers and families bundled up and grabbed their sleds and toboggans for some outdoor fun.
Mother Nature provided a sunny day with temperatures in the 30s for the Woodland Consolidated School’s 58th annual event.
“Students and adults competed in tubing, tobogganing and three-legged races,” grade six teacher Sandy Swan said. “Students also competed in skiing, snowboarding and snowshoeing events.”
This years Woodland Winter Carnival King and Queen are Riley Connolly, son of Jon and Vanessa Connolly, and Brooke Moir, daughter of Scott and Neali Moir.
