MARGAREY B. BROWN PRESQUE ISLE – Margarey B. Brown, 82, died peacefully in her sleep on March 29, 2017, at her daughter’s residence. She was born February 4, 1935, in Caribou, the daughter of Clinton Benjamin Fisk Hewitt and Margaret (Nadeau) Hewitt.
She was the fourteenth child of eighteen children. She was married to Bernard H. Brown Sr. for 47 years. She had Non Hodgkin Lymphoma cancer and opted for quality of life, not quantity. She spent many sun-filled days enjoying the summer, lots of family get-togethers and building a snowman and seeing it snow. She loved watching the birds and having visitors. Margarey was an amazing wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend. She attended church at Church of Jesus and volunteered at Martha and Mary’s Kitchen for many years. She loved people especially helping them anyway she could. She loved food and everything was better with butter on it.
She is survived by her children; Cheryl Simpson and her partner Jimmie Barber of Titusville, FL, Patricia Cleaves and her husband Alan, Bernard Brown Jr. and his wife Joyce, Sandra Bonville and her husband Fred, all of Presque Isle, Timothy Brown and his wife Michelle of Bucksport, Sheila Perkins and her husband Larry of Westfield, a sister Norma Gudreau of Presque Isle, grandchildren; Lilly, Heather, Erich, Dawn, Alan Jr., Nickolas, Chuckie, Michael, Matt, Amanda, Pamela, Andy, BJ, Jacob, Casey, and Jack and several great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Bernard Brown Sr. and several siblings.
A graveside service will be held 1 p.m., June 2, 2017, at Fairmount Cemetery with Pastor Ron LaPointe officiating. Friends who wish to honor her memory can do an act of kindness. Online condolences may be expressed at www.duncan-graves.com.
