CARIBOU, Maine — Tonight could see the culmination of the Caribou-Presque Isle men’s basketball league season.
Loring Job Corps and the Aroostook Dream Team will battle tonight at 7 p.m. at the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center.
With play-off victories already over McGillan Construction and the Job Corps team, Aroostook Dream Team is undefeated, so a win tonight gives them the title. If Loring Job Corps prevails, the two teams will play the “if necessary” game Monday, April 10, again in Caribou with at 7 p.m. tip time.
Aroostook Dream Team entered the playoffs as the No. 1 seed with a 16-4 regular season mark. Loring Job Corps was right behind at 15-5. Griffeth Ford (9-11), Caribou Eye Care (8-12), McGillan Construction (6-14) and Hafford’s (6-14) followed in the standings.
The regular season began in early-November, while the double-elimination playoffs got underway March 20. Games were held both in Caribou and Presque Isle.
