Thanksgiving dinner
A wonderful Thanksgiving dinner was served by the Easton Elementary School cooks. They served the students and their parents and grandparents, as well as area veterans and senior citizens. There were over 300 served. The meal included a full turkey dinner and even pie for desert. Yum! It was delicious. Great job, girls, and a big thank-you for taking all the calories out before you served it.
After the dinner, the veterans were honored with a program in the gym. There were quite a few veterans present. The children read poems and things to them honoring our veterans. The entire school body lined up and shook the veterans’ hands. The Cub Scouts also did a flag-folding ceremony.
EPCO
The Easton EPCO is hosting a Reindeer Lane Holiday Gift Shop for area children. This is a wonderful opportunity for the children to experience the joy of giving during the holiday season. This is a perfect way for the children to select holiday gifts for the entire family for reasonable prices. We will have volunteers on hand to help assist the children with the gift selections. We are planning to have it open Friday, Dec. 4, during school hours for the children to walk through and see all the goodies we have to offer. We will also have a shopping time Friday, Dec. 4, and Sat., Dec. 5. Keep an eye open for the times.
