Mars Hill woman turns attack on arresting officers

MARS HILL, Maine —A Mars Hill woman remains in the Aroostook County Jail after allegedly assaulting her domestic partner and several officers Friday afternoon, April 7.

Shortly after 4:30 p.m. State Police and Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of an ongoing disturbance at a residence on Park Street in Mars Hill.

When authorities arrived they could hear yelling coming from inside the home. After entering the building, deputies found 28-year-old Alisha Perkins of Mars Hill assaulting her domestic partner.

As officers were taking Perkins into custody she struck one Deputy Sheriff and kicked another. The officers under attack were Deputy Robert Thibeault and Lt. Larry Goff of the sheriff’s office.

Authorities transported Perkins to the Aroostook County Jail. She is charged with domestic violence assault, assault on an officer and failure to submit to arrest.
