Lions Club schedules auction

President Allen Salo of the Mapleton Lions Club announced the club’s 55th annual auction will be held on Saturday, May 13, at the Lions Hall.

Lions have begun soliciting the nearly 400 items, gift certificates and services that will be up for bid. The auction is the club’s single largest fundraising event and brings in approximately 70 percent of its annual income.

Donations are always welcome. Any Lion will be willing to accept donations to support the club’s projects.

The Alumni Association will alert alumni as to activities that weekend.
