HHPR Pet of the Week (week of April 12, 2017)

Oscar, a male stray from Fort Fairfield, now resides at the Halfway Home Pet Rescue Adoption Center in Caribou. All his medical work has been completed now. He is a sweet little guy approximately 4-plus years old who is blind in his right eye due to a past injury. Despite this partial blindness, he readily accepts all loving from HHPR volunteers. He has “special needs” and should be an inside-only kitty. Oscar gets along well with other cats and would be good with any size family. HHPR thinks he will be a good rodent hunter as he obviously learned to survive and stayed fairly safe even with his partial handicap. His adoption fee is $25 to the right family. The rescue has several nice, loving 6- to 10-year-old cats in need of good homes. FMI: 999-1075. (Contributed)
