CARIBOU, Maine — The Caribou Choral Society will end its 40th anniversary celebrations by presenting its spring concerts on Friday, May 5, at 7 p.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Caribou, and on Saturday, May 6, at 7 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Presque Isle.
Entitled “40 Years of More Favorites,” the concerts will feature favorite songs from its long history, including “You Raise Me Up,” “Shenandoah,” “Let There Be Peace on Earth,” “Blue Skies,” “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah,” “What a Wonderful World,” “You’ll Never Walk Alone” and “Memory.”
Shows will end with an Armed Forces Salute and “God Bless America.” Many of the society’s soloists will also be featured.
The chorus is directed by its original conductor, Dan Ladner, and accompanied by 20-year veteran pianist Mari-Jo Hedman.
The concerts are free, but donations will be accepted at the door. All music lovers are invited to attend.
