CARIBOU, Maine — The National Weather Service Office in Caribou has issued a winter weather advisory, in effect from 9 p.m. Friday, April 21, until 11 a.m. Saturday, April 22, 2017.
The advisory, issued at 3:52 p.m., includes Allagash, Clayton Lake, Madawaska, Fort Kent, Frenchville, Presque Isle, Caribou, Van Buren and Mars Hill.
Snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches are expected late this evening into Saturday morning. Snowfall will result in some travel difficulties with roads snow-covered and slippery due to snowfall rates up to an inch an hour late this evening into the overnight hours.
Winds are expected to be southeast 5 to 10 mph, with temperatures in the lower 30s and visibility one-half mile or less at times late this evening through the night.
