ASHLAND, ME – Heaven gained another beautiful guardian angel: Gail Ann Boyles, 56, of Ashland, Maine, passed away on April 14, 2017, at The Aroostook Medical Center, after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of Scott Boyles of Ashland for 29 years.

Gail was born in Masardis, Maine, on July 30th 1960. Gail was a 1978 graduate of Ashland Community High School. She was the daughter of Richard Lewin and the late Gloria (Farris) Lewin. Gail worked at the Ashland One Stop for 15 plus years where she had countless friends and customers who adored her, before she retired in 2014 due to her illness.
Besides her husband, Scott, Gail leaves behind her father, Richard Lewin of Ashland, her mother-in-law Annice Boyles, of Ashland. Her sons, Joshua Lewin of Ashland, Eric Boyles and wife, Danielle of Ashland. Brothers, Steve Lewin and wife Patty of Masardis, Herman Lewin and wife Margaret of Ashland and Herbert Lewin of Masardis. Sisters, Ada Mcneal and husband Ralph of Caribou, Linda Lewin of Readfield. Gail also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Landon and Lainey Boyles, many special nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.
Gail cherished her close friends, Cindy Hazleton, Bev Labelle, Gayle Burby, Vickie Belanger, Karen Flint, Brenda Clark, Jessica Craig, Patty Rafford,Tammy and Miranda Donovan, Tom and Lisa Martin and Pat and Tracy Long as well as many many others too numerous to list.
Gail was predeceased by her mother Gloria and one sister Avis.
Gail was an incredible person and loved spending time with her grandchildren. This has been a long hard road but Gail never gave up, thanks to all the phone calls, cards, visits and words of encouragement. The courage and strength she showed is a lesson many can and should learn from.
At Gail’s request, there will be no funeral, but there will be a Celebration of Life at the Ashland VFW on April 29th 2017, from 12 to 4 p.m., where food will be served. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in honor of a college fund for Landon and Lainey Boyles, care of Eric Boyles, P.O. Box 484, Ashland, ME 04732
